Knowing the provenance of the stock we sell

All of Taste Cornwall's suppliers not only have to produce items that the manager and staff find suitable, but they also need to meet the requirements of our parent company, CGOS.

CGOS is very careful and precise regarding the produce which we allow to be sold in our Taste Cornwall Shop and of course our on line shop. Producers are checked individually and we use all means available to us to check the provenance of what we sell.

Meat will have been born and reared on the farm, all preserves will be made by the producer using techniques and recipes which have been in the family for years and most important of all the cheeses, and all dairy products are made from the milk of Cornish cows. The source of the meat in the pies is known to us and even the fish in the tins. We do our level best to provide our customers with a service they can trust.
